He boasts of a strong academic background and holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature along with a Master’s degree in Mass Communication from School of Communication Studies, Punjab University.
Ayushmann started his career from reality shows and not only participated in the hugely loved show Roadies, but also emerged as a winner in 2004. Before that, he hosted the show ‘Big Chai – Maan Na Maan, Main Tera Ayushmann’, as an RJ.
We all know that Ayushmann starred in a gay love story called Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan co-starring Jitendra Kumar. However, many are oblivious to the fact that when Ayushmann was in college in Chandigarh, many men used to hit on him, which left the actor quite bemused!
Ayushmann made his debut in Bollywood with the movie ‘Vicky Donor’ in 2012 opposite Yami Gautam. However, unknown to many, the actor, in an interview, had revealed that he had once donated his sperm during a task on Roadies in Allahabad.
The actor has a strong hold over Hindi, due to his North Indian upbringing and he maintains a blog in the language, which is much loved by fans across the world.
Ayushmann’s father, who passed away earlier this year, was a well-known astrologer, P. Khurrana, who made him add an extra N and an extra R in his name. He has often said that his father had predicted his name and fame much before things turned around for him.
